This is simply a lukewarm crockery featuring an antithetic ingredient: pickled turnips.   • 2 cucumbers, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 1 tiny reddish onion, chopped into bladed slices
  • 1 cupful pickled turnips (if not already chopped into julienne, chopped into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks; spot headnote)
  • 1 cupful crumbled feta cheese
  • 4 pieces pita bread, chopped into quarters and toasted
  • 1 cupful Greek-style plain nonfat yogurt
  • Juice from 1/2 oregon 1 citrus (2 tablespoons)
  • Ground sumac (see headnote)
