This cocktail was created by Duggan McDonnell for Campo de Encanto acholado (or blended) pisco, the pisco whose improvement Spirits columnist Jason Wilson witnessed during a travel to Peru.

The white-wine-and-citrus aperitif Lillet Blanc is simply a cleanable complement to the grape-based pisco.

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounces pisco
  • 1 ounce Lillet Blanc
  • 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce elemental syrup (see NOTE)
  • 1 1/2 ounces tonic water
  • Mint sprig, for garnish
