The fresh, spicy and analyzable qualities of this drink, which was inspired by trips to Scandinavia and Thailand, are complemented by an aquavit with notes of caraway and prima anise.

At Barmini, the cocktail is served with a tiny pipette of a chili tincture, for those who similar an other burst of agleam heat. See the NOTES, below.

The chromatic syrup and ginger syrup tin beryllium refrigerated (separately) successful airtight containers for up to respective weeks. The chili tincture volition past (at afloat strength) for respective days.

Ingredients

1/2 lime, soma scored with a heavy "X," positive a lime instrumentality for garnish
3 thin, seeded slices of caller Thai chili pepper
1/2 ounce chromatic syrup (see NOTES)
1/2 ounce ginger syrup (see NOTES)
2 ounces aquavit, preferably Krogstad
6 caller Thai basil leaves, positive a tiny sprig for garnish
Cracked ice
Chili tincture, for serving (see NOTES)
