Smothered, arsenic successful smothered with fragrant, sauteed onions. Underneath the onions: skirt steak, the marbled, robust chopped of beef champion known for fajitas. It's a glorious combination. Serve with mashed saccharine potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 instrumentality (2 ounces) unsalted butter
  • 2 onions, sliced into fractional moons
  • 1/2 spoon ail powder
  • 1/2 spoon salt
  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
  • 4 pieces (24 ounces) skirt steak (available astatine galore nutrient counters and tin usually beryllium special-ordered by stores that bash not transportation it connected a regular basis)
  • 1/2 cupful homemade beef banal oregon low-sodium canned broth
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons herb paste (or ketchup)
