The Rob Roy is fundamentally a Manhattan made with Scotch alternatively of bourbon oregon rye. The Perfect Rob Roy combines some saccharine and adust vermouth.

Instead of the accustomed Angostura bitters, this look uses the much herbal, spicier Peychaud's bitters. And though the maraschino cherry garnish is classic, effort a twist of lemon.

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 2 ounces blended Scotch
  • 1/2 ounce saccharine vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce adust vermouth
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • Twist of citrus peel, for garnish (may substitute maraschino cherry)
