A fig of lifeboats and a Coastguard chopper were dispatched to the scene.

The RNLI said determination were reports "that a fig of radical had abandoned the vessels pursuing a collision and determination were fires connected some ships".

A Coastguard Rescue Helicopter from Humberside was called, alongside lifeboats from Skegness, Bridlington, Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes, an HM Coastguard fixed helping aircraft, and adjacent vessels with fire-fighting capability.

"The incidental remains ongoing," an HM Coastguard spokesperson said.

The vessels progressive successful the collision are believed to beryllium the US-flagged Stena Immaculate tanker and the Solong, a Portuguese-flagged instrumentality ship, according to information from the ship-tracking website MarineTraffic.

The tract shows the Stena Immaculate had travelled from the Greek larboard of Agioi Theodoroi and was anchored by the Humber Estuary.
