Use day-old plain oregon glazed barroom doughnuts to marque these no-bake, cake-pop-like treats made with Nutella, hazelnuts and acheronian chocolate.

Ingredients

Servings: 9-10  truffles

  • 3 to 4 glazed oregon plain cocoa barroom doughnuts (about 7 ounces total)
  • 2 pinches kosher salt
  • 1/3 cupful Nutella
  • 1/3 cupful skinned, toasted and chopped hazelnuts, positive much for optional garnish (see Notes)
  • 8 ounces good-quality acheronian chocolate, breached into pieces (preferably astatine slightest 70 percent)
  • 1/2 spoon rootlike shortening
  • Flaked oversea salt, for optional garnish
