  • 1 lb turkey sausage, casings removed (may substitute 1 1/2 cups cooked turkey. If leftovers are used, adhd the nutrient to the crockery aft the vegetables are tender. Heat until the turkey is warm.)
  • 1 tablespoonful olive oil
  • 1 ample leek (trimmed), achromatic and light-green parts, cleaned and chopped crosswise into bladed slices
  • 3 mean cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoonful Spanish smoked paprika
  • 1 quart low-sodium chickenhearted broth
  • 15 ounces canned chopped tomatoes with chipotle, specified arsenic Muir Glen brand, with the juices
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lb kohlrabi, peeled, cored and chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 1 lb unpeeled oregon peeled Yukon Gold potatoes, chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 3 mean carrots, peeled and chopped crosswise into 1/4-inch coins (about a cup)
  • 1 ample clump kale, stems and ribs removed, chopped (4 cups)
