  • 1 3/4 cups homemade oregon canned no-salt-added black-eyed peas, drained and rinsed (from 1 15-ounce can; spot Notes)
  • 1 spoon crushed turmeric
  • 1 tablespoonful caller thyme leaves, positive much for optional garnish
  • 1/2 spoon crushed reddish capsicum flakes
  • Chopped caller flat-leaf parsley, for serving (optional)
