ICE deports Dominican migrant wanted for human smuggling that led to death of 3 minors

Batista Matos, 36, was sent location connected an ICE removal formation for the 5th clip connected Monday.

Though details of the encounters were not provided, ICE said helium was besides recovered and removed successful 2011, 2019 and 2023.

In transportation with his latest deportation, Matos was arrested successful San Juan, Puerto Rico, successful September 2024 aft Dominican authorities issued a warrant for his apprehension pursuing a deadly "alien smuggling venture," ICE said. 

He came into ICE custody connected Feb. 6 and was transferred to Miami pending his removal.

"ICE prioritizes the apprehension and removal of transgression alien fugitives. As a result, our communities are safer and much secure," Lopez Vega said.
