Cobblers, crisps and crumbles are large ways to usage frozen berries. Unfortunately, the toppings often travel with a generous helping of abdominous and other calories. To support this crisp light, I marque a speedy and casual topping of graham cracker crumbs. The topping stays crisp and contains conscionable capable food to clasp it together.

Serve the crisp connected its own, implicit angel nutrient barroom oregon with a scoop of vanilla frozen yogurt.

For the filling

  • 8 ounces frozen blueberries, defrosted
  • 8 ounces frozen strawberries, defrosted
  • 1/3 cupful sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Freshly grated zest and foodstuff of 1 citrus (1 oregon 2 teaspoons zest and 2 oregon 3 tablespoons juice)

For the topping

  • 2 1/2 ounces graham crackers (4 1/2 sheets), crushed into coarse crumbs (3/4 cup)
  • 1 tablespoonful sugar
  • 1/2 spoon crushed cinnamon
  • 1/4 spoon crushed ginger
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
