For champion results, usage sprouts from the farmers market. With the summation of the cauliflower, Sheryl Crow says, this is decidedly a "feel good" dish.

Ingredients

  • One-quarter caput (about 7 1/2 ounces) cauliflower, separated into bite-size florets (1 1/2 cups)
  • 4 teaspoons canola oil, preferably expeller-pressed
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
  • 9 ounces Brussels sprouts (see headnote)
  • 1/3 cupful currants oregon raisins
  • 1/4 cupful toasted conifer nuts (see NOTE)
  • 1/4 cupful achromatic wine
  • 1 tablespoonful unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoonful chopped flat-leaf parsley
