These blueberry bars bring the delight of a classical jam-filled, crumble effect barroom but successful a much healthful way. Sweetened with full effect and a tiny magnitude of maple syrup, the effect delivers a granola barroom vibe. The bars’ nutty basal has a beauteous chew from dried fruit, jammy centers brimming with blueberry spirit and a crunchy maple-spiked crumble topping.

  • 1 mean orange
  • 1 1/2 cups (210 grams) blueberries (fresh oregon frozen, nary request to defrost)
  • 5 tablespoons maple syrup, divided
  • 1/4 cupful (60 milliliters) positive 1 tablespoonful neutral oil, specified arsenic avocado oregon canola, divided, positive much for the pan
  • 1/2 cupful (50 grams) earthy walnut halves
  • 1/2 cupful (70 grams) earthy skin-on almonds
  • 1/2 cupful (60 grams) raw, hulled sunflower seeds
  • 1 cupful (100 grams) old-fashioned rolled oats (not instant oregon quick-cooking)
  • 3/4 cupful (94 grams) whole-wheat flour
  • 1 spoon crushed cinnamon
  • 1/4 spoon good salt
  • 1 cupful (140 grams) pitted prunes
  • 1 ample egg
  • 1 spoon vanilla extract
