Get ready for a delightful cross-cultural romantic comedy as the anime adaptation of Hiroshi Anno's manga, "Cultural Exchange with the Arcade Girl" (original title: ゲーセン少女と異文化交流), is set to premiere in July 2025. The manga, which originally began serialization on the author's personal Twitter and Pixiv, has been captivating audiences since it started in May 2020 on the manga platform "ドラドラしゃーぷ#".

The story follows the main character, Renji Kusakabe, who works at an arcade and unexpectedly meets a girl named Lily from England. Their encounter leads to a charming yet chaotic relationship, highlighted by the unique cultural exchanges they experience together. The voice of Lily will be brought to life by Sally Amagi, a member of the voice acting idol group 22/7 and a Japanese-American voice actress. Amagi expressed her excitement, saying, "I've been a devoted reader of the original series since its serialization began. I thought to myself, 'If this gets animated, I absolutely have to voice Lily!' I was overjoyed to learn I was selected for the role, and I even cried tears of happiness."

Renji Kusakabe, on the other hand, will be voiced by Shoya Chiba. He shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "I've played music and battle games before, and I enjoy learning English. Recording this project was particularly fun for me. Many in our team, including Ms. Amagi, are proficient in English, and at first, I felt a bit shy. However, since Renji's character struggles to communicate with Lily due to a language barrier, I found myself resonating with him unexpectedly. While many might feel intimidated by English, Lily's cuteness is universally appealing, so I hope everyone looks forward to it!"
