Genshin Impact New Character Chasuka Guide: Mechanisms, Weapons, Artifacts, Constellations, and Team Recommendations
Dec 11,2024
In version 5.2 of Genshin Impact, the new five-star Anemo character, Chasuka, has been introduced as a primary DPS. Chasuka is notable for being the second character, following Scaramouche, with the ability to fly, and her flying experience is significantly smoother. When paired with the four-star character Orloren, players can achieve continuous aerial combat, leading to impressive performance in the open world.
Chasuka's single-target damage is slightly lower than that of other characters, but the damage output is inconsistent and she struggles against multiple enemies. Her team composition emphasizes a mixed-element approach, and while there are many potential teammates, the most synergistic combinations will likely be revealed with future character releases. Chasuka is also the first character capable of generating elemental reactions on her own, with the elemental attributes of her teammates determining the type of "Radiant Shadow Bullet" she produces, making her especially effective when paired with different elemental allies. However, she may struggle to deal damage against enemies with elemental immunity.
Mechanics Breakdown
Upon using her Elemental Skill (pressing E), Chasuka enters a flying state enhanced by "Night Soul," which offers greater agility and fluidity compared to Scaramouche's more rigid movement. In non-Nata environments, she can fly for about 10 seconds, with notable performance in terms of dash distance, height, and general flying capabilities. Players can also switch to Chasuka while airborne to trigger a 4-second Night Soul state (gaining 32 Night Soul points with a 10-second cooldown, requiring Nata). This allows her to evade most attacks and adjust her position to dodge aerial assaults, though players must be wary of tracking and Z-axis skills.
When allies defeat enemies, they generate "Fuel," enhancing the open-world experience. While in her flying state, holding down the charge attack will display a targeting interface. When close to enemies, it will automatically lock onto them and charge bullets sequentially, firing six bullets in rapid succession. If attacking multiple enemies, the damage will decrease. The initial bullets deal Anemo damage, while the 4th, 5th, and 6th bullets will transform based on the elemental types of team members, changing to higher damage "Radiant Shadow Bullets." The sequence of elemental types is random, requiring careful team composition to maximize damage output.
Damage Scaling and Team Composition
Chasuka's damage scaling is heavily influenced by her teammates’ elemental types, with the potential for significant damage boosts. The third bullet has a chance to convert into a Radiant Shadow Bullet, with transformation rates depending on each elemental type (33.3%/66.7%/100%). Each type also grants Chasuka additional damage multipliers (15%/35%/65%), encouraging players to build a diverse elemental team for maximum effectiveness.
To optimize her performance, players should prioritize leveling her Elemental Skill, followed by her Elemental Burst, with regular attacks being less critical. Key constellations to focus on include Constellation 2 and 6, which enhance her elemental conversion capabilities and overall damage output. The recommended order for unlocking constellations is 0+0, 0+1, and 2+1, followed by 6.
Weapon Recommendations
Chasuka’s signature weapon is highly prioritized, as it significantly boosts her damage output, even without triggering elemental spread conditions. Other viable options include "The First Great Magic," "Water of Various Forms," and "Hunter's Path," with each offering comparable damage potential but requiring specific conditions to be fully effective.
Artifact Sets
The ideal artifact set for Chasuka is "Blackcliff," with alternatives including "Dream of the Distant Lands," "Wandering Evenstar," and "Flowing Stars." Players should aim for a combination of attack sands, attack goblets, and crit damage circlets. While crit rate is essential, Chasuka's talent upgrades and weapon stats often provide sufficient crit bonuses, allowing for a focus on maximizing overall damage output.
Team Recommendations
Currently, Chasuka lacks perfectly synergistic teammates but can greatly benefit from support characters like Fennina and Bennett, who can boost her damage output. A potential team composition could be Chasuka, Fennina, Bennett, and Orloren, where Orloren can enhance damage against groups of enemies. While Zhongli may not synergize well with Chasuka now, future characters like Chetara will likely provide better elemental shields.
In the long run, Chasuka shows great potential for future team compositions, especially as new characters are released that can enhance her capabilities. For players looking to maximize her performance, focusing on her constellations and team synergy will be key to unlocking her full potential.
