This mentation of the classical French 75 substitutes grapefruit foodstuff for citrus foodstuff and adds a splash of bitter Campari (or 1 of its recently disposable alternatives: Luxardo oregon Gran Classico Bitter) to the mix.

Jason Wilson recommends a much subtle, little juniper-forward gin specified arsenic Plymouth, Hendrick's oregon G'Vine.

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1/2 ounce elemental syrup (see NOTE)
  • 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1/4 ounce Campari
  • Chilled sparkling wine, preferably champagne
  • Twist of grapefruit peel, for garnish
