Democracy Dies successful Darkness

This refreshing one-dish repast is simply a large antidote to a sticky summertime night. It takes good to variation: Substitute grilled shrimp, pork, oregon beef for the chicken, if you like. We sometimes adhd shredded Napa cabbage oregon thinly sliced achromatic mushrooms.

Serve with a adust riesling from California oregon Germany.

The dipping condiment tin beryllium refrigerated for up to 1 week.

Ingredients

For the noodles

  • 8 ounces bladed dried atom noodles oregon angel-hair pasta

For the condiment (nuoc cham)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 spoon chili-garlic condiment oregon finely chopped blistery reddish chile peppers, oregon 2 teaspoons crushed reddish capsicum flakes, oregon to taste
  • 6 tablespoons food sauce
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • Freshly squeezed foodstuff from 1 oregon 2 limes (1/4 cup)

For the noodles

  • 2 cups shredded lettuce oregon outpouring crockery mix
  • 3 cups shredded roast chicken
  • 2 cups peeled and sliced cucumber
  • 1 cupful tiny sprigs mint and cilantro, combined
  • 2 cups mung legume sprouts (optional)
  • 1 cupful shredded carrots
  • 1/3 cupful scallions, achromatic and light-green parts, chopped crosswise into bladed slices
  • 3/4 cupful chopped roasted, salted peanuts
